Mulled wine or Mulled cider? - Charrington's Drinks

Mulled wine or Mulled cider?

People may ask; which is better, mulled wine or mulled cider?

Okay, admittedly we might be a bit biased, but isn’t mulled wine a little overrated? What’s better on a chilly Winter’s night than a warming mug of 100% homegrown British mulled cider, or for a non-alcoholic option mulled apple juice?

What makes our mulled cider better than mulled wine?

It has a lovely mouth feel, a deep golden colour that really suits this time of year, and more complex flavour than mulled wine. It’s also less common, meaning you can surprise and delight guests at your Christmas party.

It is also easier to get right. Just buy a few of our mulling pyramids and whack them in with some Earl’s Reserve Still Cider, or with either of our pure single-variety apple juices and simmer (but don’t boil) – and that’s it!

No need for cloves and oranges peels here. It’s just like making a cuppa. The longer you leave it in, the stronger the taste.
