Every year we organise a Blossom Walk. It’s brilliant day out and one of many lovely kent walks you can do at this time of year. A chance to see the orchards at their prettiest!
Our Blossom Walk was very much a rushed affair this year – unlike our production process we hasten to add which takes about two years to go from bud to bottle for our Cryals Classic Sparkling Cider, for example, pictured below.
Unpredictable as ever, the trees blossomed at an alarming rate over the Easter weekend. We were only just able to send a Facebook message out to all of our followers on Monday!
Given the short notice, we had a very good turnout and as Kent walks good we think this was a great one! There were lots of children this year which is always really pleasing to see. These annual blossom walks are an important learning opportunity to better understand the life cycle of fruit farming.
With the blossom, we now have the bees to help the pollination. If you’d like to know more about the bees and the role they play on the farm please contact us, or read more here.
