English Tourism has launched for 2023 and Wadhurst has just been voted the Sunday Times best place to live 2023. Kent and Sussex have so much to offer and there’s locally produced food and drink to suit all tastes. The UK tourism industry generated over £1bn in 2019 (let’s not use the Covid years as a reference) and 2023 is all about bounce back and welcoming while also remembering that holidays and weekends away are just as fun nearer to home. So go on, invite your Cornish and Cotswold friends to come and visit Kent and Sussex and share a Charrington’s with them. If you are going further afield, don’t forget to take some Charrington’s with you!

Easter plans are afoot on the farm as well. If you live in or are staying within walking distance, we have an “unofficial” secret Easter bunny egg hunt over the footpaths of the farm. This is a walking to and from the farm activity (we don’t have parking) and there are at least 4 pubs all serving Charrington’s within easy Sunday lunch walking distance. The Hop Bine in Petteridge, The Little Bull in Brenchley, The Halfway House between Brenchley and Horsmonden and The Chequers in Lamberhurst. The bunny hunt is for big and little ones to discover some juice and chocs along the footpaths that go around the farm. Maps to follow closer to Easter when we know where they are hidden!
A room with a view! Our wait for the bud watch continues but here is an aerial view from one of our farm cottages so you can see the colours changing once spring gets moving!
The trees are bare for now but the change will soon be very visible with pinks and whites and then green leaves to red apples!
