It’s a final call for Mother’s Day Gifts (see Mumstheword offer code below) this week. It’s also British Science Week , Red Nose Day and St Patrick’s Day on Friday.
Cider making (the art of turning apple juice into apple wine) and fruit growing are so dependent on our understanding of science and nature. Our carbon sequestering orchards are playing a key part in the science of protecting our planet and we’ve known for years about the importance of our single estate “terroir”. Careful management of our orchard environment plays such a magical part in the scientific art of making unique cider as well as the careful blending of batches across multiple vintages and fermentations – each with their own incredible characteristics.

When he’s not making cider he is off breaking his own records, picking up no less than 2 golds last month at the British Indoor Championships for Triple Jump and Pole Vault…yes…that’s not a typo! Most of the time we are poking fun at it but, now and again, you have to recognise what an amazing achievement it is and the commitment it takes. If you have been following us for years, you’ll also know he holds international medals in Long Jump, Triple Jump, Shot Put, Pole Vault over many years – in fact ever since making cider! What a coincidence! Some brands spend millions on giving you wings, while others naturally give them a run for their money and put a spring in your step!
