SPRING FEVER!

Things are really beginning to move now with the first signs of blossom in sheltered early varieties and there are plenty of pink buds appearing. On Easter Sunday we will have our usual unsupervised egg hunt around the footpaths and we will be starting our Blossom Walks the following week from FRIDAY 25TH ARIL TO SUNDAY with some possible extra openings before and after for people coming as part of their social groups. Please see below to let us know if you would like to attend and when.

Our Easter Bunny Egg Hunt is on Easter Sunday (with anything left over out on Easter Monday). This is definitely a WIGIG event (When it’s gone it’s gone!). Self guided maps are available to download on all the farm footpath entrances and we will be posting links later to plan your route – but you don’t need to be Inspector Clouseau to folllow the route around in a loop – it takes about an hour or a little longer if your legs are smaller!  There are 10 stations with chocolates and clues at each station for little ones to collect and a tasty offer if you solve it! Please note this is a parent supervised event on public footpaths and you should be walking to and from the farm for the full nutritional off set of the chocolates! Please do not park on the farm. You don’t need tickets but please let us know if you have enjoyed it – there is always a number to call if you need help. We have great pubs and cafes on our doorstep serving Charrngton’s so make a day of it and loop between our closest, The Hop Bine in Petteridge, the Little Bull in Brenchley and the Halfway House just outside Brenchley. All have lovely outside eating areas as well as inside. Chocs will be out from 9 in the morning and will be replenished a few times during the day. We are going to have a tasting table as one of the stations this year but we can’t be there all day! If we are there, you will be able to place an order for free home delivery if you just can’t live without our amazing ciders and apple juices!

Our Blossom Farm Walks are imminent! There are already signs of some blossom but this is incredibly weather dependent and you might be walking in pink bud, full bloom or even petal fall but it is a great way to soak up the spring changes and enjoy a cider and apple juice tasting at the end. Our dates are being penciled in and it would be very helpful if you could email hello@charringtonsdrinks.com with your preferred date and time and how many of you. If you are part of a group or social club etc we are happy to do a special walk, talk and taste just for you. The ideal number is about 15 to 20 people but we are relaxed so long as we know how many. Often your groups will meet at specific times / days so please just let us know how many / when and we will do our best to accommodate.
The walks and tastings are free to attend but you can always buy at the end :-). Families and friends welcome as well as well behaved pets. Orchards are much better under foot this year so good outside shoes will be ok if it is not raining – but come prepared! It is essential to pre-book:
