We are excited to share one of our favourite apple juice cocktails with you, from one of our stockists – The Wine Rooms, Tunbridge Wells.
This is the Apple & Rhubarb Martini cocktail:
Made with Rhubarb gin and Charrington’s apple juice, this fine cocktail is infused with cinnamon, cardamom, bay leaves and cloves. The cocktail makers of the Wine Rooms then finished it off with lemon juice and a lemon twist.
Go and enjoy one at the Wine Rooms today, it’s delicious!
Other Apple Juice Cocktails
Or, try and make your own apple juice cocktail at home. We recommend using our Captivating Cox Apple Juice to create a fresh and sophisticated alternative to the usual gin and tonic when mixed with Pinkster raspberry gin. Alternatively, add Thunder toffee vodka to a glass of Ravishing Russet. It’s like an alcoholic toffee apple in a glass.
There is a long history of using apples in cocktail making. While people have probably been mixing Apple Juices and Ciders with other drinks since time immemorial, the earliest records we can find date back to the 17th century. When the first distillery license in the USA was held by William Laird – a Scottish immigrant – for his apple brandy. It was reportedly a favourite of President George Washington.
We not experiment with your own Apple Juice cocktails today – our single-variety pure apple juices make a great base.
