We Make Sustainable Cider and Apple Juice

Our award-winning products would not be possible without the best quality apples. What makes our apples such great quality? Our highly accredited sustainable farming plays a big part in it. We are proud to offer sustainable cider.

Why focus on sustainability?

We all have a part to play in the fight against climate change. Here at Charrington’s we reduce our carbon footprint wherever and whenever possible. Additionally, sustainable production is rooted into what we do. Supermarkets have traditionally had very strict guidelines as to the the size and shape of apples they buy. This means perfectly good apples can end up being wasted.

This breaks our heart.

We make sure every apple is used to its full potential here at Charrington’s. In fact, that is what inspired us to start making sustainable cider in the first place. We have since grown and now offer the full range of ciders, apple juices and apple crisps which you can see for sale today when you visit the Charringtons shop.

Eco-friendly cider to award-winning cider

We made a commitment to protect our local environment decades ago, and we have been adhering to it ever since. Charrington’s started as an eco-friendly response to a problem but have since grown into an award-winning cider producer. We truly believe sustainable cider tastes better.

All of our apples are hand-picked from the branches of our 120 acre LEAF and Red Tractor estate. We are accredited by Red Tractor & LEAF (Linking Environment & Farming) – the highest accreditation for sustainable farming in the UK.

Additionally, we were the winner of the Emsden Trophy in 2015 for our leading contribution to Kent countryside and wildlife. We will continue to preserve the beauty of our patch.
