Cider history
There is a long standing cider tradition in this country. We are very proud to be a part of that.
Cider has been produced within these isles in, in some form or another, since the Roman times. The first listing of cider presses as a source of income appears in the Royal Charter from 1230. It appears license was granted to one Jocelin Bishop of Bath.
The majority of British Cider Makers can be found in the South or West of England. The United Kingdom remains the largest producer of Cider in Europe. Although, these days it is beloved the world over. This year June 3rd, World Cider Day 2019, is the day to celebrate that.
To make World Cider Day extra special ensure you have a case of Queen of Cox. A majestic, best-cider-award-winning and lightly sparkling cider made for a day like this!
